This will work fine.

When TIMESYNC HARDWARE CLOCK is set to ON (as default),
then the TIMESYNC.NLM automaticaly reads the current time from
the hardware clock and sets the SW clock to this value.
When now NTP software sees that the local clock is not in sync
with the network, it adjusts the local (SW) clock (back) and
remembers the correction ammount.
Since the SW clock now is not in sync with the HW clock,
TIMESYNC.NLM changes the SW clock again, and again and
again.

After some cycles (5 per default) the SNTPCLNT calculates a new
tickrate for the local SW clock. But since this is based on wrong
corrections the tickrate driffts always more away from the true
value.
