Changed DNS address - now SNTP can't find timeservers

I inherited sntpclnt from our previous LAN Engineer and have no
documentation on how it was installed.
We just changed our internal ip addressing scheme from Class C to
Class B. In the process, our DNS server changed addresses, as did the
Novell 4.11 server upon which we are running sntpclnt. Since that
time, my Novell server has been complaining that the ip alias names
are malformed addresses and it can't reach a timeserver.
Where is sntp trying to resolve these address names?
